What Does your Local Government Do?

Zoom Program-First in a Series
Wednesday, January 25, 7-8 p.m.

Do you wonder what the various levels of local government are responsible for? The Common Council, City Boards, Board of Education, the County Government? How you can prepare to take a leadership role?
 
The League of Women Voters of White Plains is beginning a series of Zoom programs on the theme: “All Politics is Local:  What  Does Your Local Government Do?”  For the first program, on January 25th at 7 pm, members of the White Plains Board of Education will join us to talk about the roles and responsibilities of the Board, its relationship with other local institutions and how someone interested in Board service can prepare.
