The deadline for absentee ballot applications by mail is a postmark of Oct. 27, however, the post office cannot guarantee the timely delivery of absentee ballots applied for less than 15 days before the election.  Please plan to mail applications by close of business on Oct. 19 to account for this.  There are many other ways to apply for an absentee ballot if you miss this recommendation:
