The League of Women Voters, White Plains and Central Westchester YWCA, and the White Plains Public Library are sponsoring the Common Ground conversation that will meet on Thursday, February 20th, 6-8PM at the White Plains Library. The topic will be economic inequality and its impact upon the White Plains community. Last year, this was one of the most significant conversations that we had. White Plains is a community where there will be approximately 5000 new apartment units added within the next decade. So, as a community we will think about and discuss what the impact will be from all this new construction.

People of all viewpoints are welcome to participate, and we are committed to creating an atmosphere that is safe for everyone who attends. It will be a place to share experiences, opinions and solutions to understand how people in our area are actually affected by the policies, issues and events that we hear about on the news and media.

We believe that together, we can reach across what divides us to create Common Ground.

We will meet 3rd Thursday of every month January-May, 2020 (except for March, which meets the 4th Thursday)
