Special webinar on veto session legislation
The Illinois General Assembly reconvenes every fall for a two-week veto session, scheduled this year for November 17-19 and December 1-3. During the veto session legislators consider bills the Governor has vetoed, but it is not unusual for other initiatives to surface for a vote.
With the abbreviated General Assembly this year, the Governor did not veto any bills. It is anticipated that much of the Veto Session will address legislation recommended by the Illinois Legislative Black Caucus.
Join us as State Senator Kimberly A. Lightford, Chair of the Illinois Legislative Black Caucus, shares information on the four pillars of the Caucus' anti-racism agenda:
* Criminal Justice Reform
* Education and Workforce Development
* Economic Access
* Healthcare and Human Services
