Join us for the January Lunch with a Leader event. Our guest is Dan Ungerleider the Economic Development Administrator of Los Alamos County. On the job for six months, Dan will share his vision of how to boost businesses and tourism in Los Alamos. 

 

Dan is a certified city planner with over 30 years of experience in public and private sector planning. Since earning his BS Degree in Community and Regional Planning at Iowa State University, Dan has been an active member of the community and economic development planning community. Dan is a dedicated advocate for using public-private partnerships and education to gain support for the creation of affordable and environmentally sustainable development.

 

Dan specializes in all areas of urban and regional planning, including community and economic development, planning and zoning, permit and inspection services, appearance review, code enforcement, public outreach and facilitation, cross-functional team leadership, strategic planning, land acquisition, entitlement, and development project management.

 

He and his family recently moved to Los Alamos from the northern suburbs of Chicago. While they miss their family and the big city back in Illinois, they love Los Alamos's friendly town atmosphere and beautiful mountain landscapes.
