Dear LWVOA members and friends

 

Protecting Public Education is one of our League's greatest priorities.  A strong educational system strengthens democracy and deserves our special focus at this crucial time.

 

Currently there are more than a dozen bills regarding education going through the Ohio State Assembly.  Only one of them is supportive of public education.  The others will radically change the direction of how Ohio’s children will be educated. You’ve already been alerted to SBI (HB12), but many more bills loom.

 

Join us for a special zoom session at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening, March 21.  Mark your calendars now! 

 

Joining us with information about the content and status of these bills will be Susan Kaeser, a community and League activist. She is co-convenor of the Heights Coalition for Public Education, which focuses on the negative impact of state policy on public education.

 

There will be opportunity for questions and discussion as well as tips for impactful advocacy.
