Streetsboro Board of Education Organizational Meeting
Meeting Summary:
The Organizational Meeting of the Streetsboro Board of Education was called to order at 5:45 PM on January 14, 2024.
The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Board Members took the Oath of Office.
Kristin Bedford was nominated and elected Board President.
Tracy Campbell was nominated and elected Board Vice President.
The schedule of regular School Board Meetings for 2024 was approved. Meetings will be held on the second Thursday of each month at 5:45 PM.
The regular fiscal year-end financial meeting will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 8:00 AM at the Technology House.
The Board of Education will hold its four finance committee meetings at the Technology House on:
- January 25, 2024, at 5:30 PM
- April 25, 2024, at 5:30 PM
- July 25, 2024, at 5:30 PM
- October 31, 2024, at 5:30 PM
The Order of Business for 2024 was approved.
Board liaisons and Memberships were approved.
School Board Members will be compensated for attending meetings and professional development activities per the Ohio Revised Code.
The School Board established a Service Fund for 2024 for $10,000.
The School Board agreed to renew its membership in the Ohio School Board Association for 2024.
The School Board will participate in the Ohio School Board Association Legal Assistance Fund for 2024.
Sara Scott will serve as the Board’s legislative liaison for 2024.
Tonia Epple will serve as the Board’s academic liaison for 2024.
The Streetsboro City School District will participate in the Ohio Schools Council and approve the OSC Governance Policy Change Resolution.
Kristin Bedford will serve as Board representative to the Streetsboro Tax Incentive Review Council for 2024.
The Board approved legal counsel for 2024.
The Board adopted Standing Authorizations.
The Organizational Meeting was adjourned at 6:03 PM.
