Firearm Safety Network

 The University of Michigan Institute for Firearm Injury Prevention, in collaboration with Michigan Medicine and the University of Michigan School of Public Health, will host a virtual discussion on February 22, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. EST to discuss Michigan's new firearm laws and what they mean for families, firearm owners, law enforcement, healthcare workers, educators and others. Panelists will also discuss the evidence base behind these laws, share additional prevention strategies and give insight into what further research is needed to ensure effectiveness.
