The League of Women Voters of the Oberlin Area will present an Educational Forum featuring Catherine Turcer who will speak on

"THE END OF GERRYMANDERING?"

Catherine Turceris the Executive Director of Common Cause Ohio. Over the past year, Common Cause, in a coalition with The Environmental Council and the League of Women Voters of Ohio, spearheaded a petition drive to place redistricting reform on the ballot. After successful negotiations with the Ohio legislature, the coalition, known as Fair Districts, was instrumental in having Issue 1 placed on the primary ballot. If passed, this will be a major step towards ending gerrymandering in Ohio.
