Join the LWV Moscow for a panel discussion, Project 2025: Potential Impacts on Rural Idaho, on Wed., Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. in the Lecompte Auditorium at the 1912 Center in Moscow. Panelists include Markie McBrayer, Michael Ritter and Brian Smentkowski.  

Markie McBrayer is an assistant professor of political science at University of Idaho. Her research focuses on American politics and policy, with a focus on political institutions, representation, and social inequality in the American context, particularly at the local level.

Michael Ritter is an assistant professor of political science in the School of Politics, Philosophy, and Public Affairs at Washington State University. His research and teaching interests include American politics, comparative politics, voting and elections, election administration, inequality, methodology, and public policy.

Brian Smentkowski is a professor of political science and founding director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at the University of Idaho. 

Moderating the panel will be Phil Fugate, a board member of Moscow Community Theater, event organizer, and software engineering manager. He has organized and moderated panels at Princeton University, The Keller Center, and TEDx.
