Tuesday, September 16, thousands of organizations, celebrities, and everyday Americans are spreading the word about the importance of checking your voter registration—and we're joining them.
In honor of the day and LWVNSBC’s work on registering and educating voters, members will be accepting proclamations at City Council meetings in Santa Maria (9/16) and Buellton (9/25) and the Santa Barbara County Supervisors meeting (9/16). Leaguers will also be tabling at these meetings and at the Orcutt Farmer’s Market (9/17). Stop by and say hello!
Registering to vote is the key way to ensure that you can engage in our country's political process. We come from all walks of life, and we vote for lots of different reasons. But today, all Americans deserve the chance to stand up for what matters most to them. And the best way to do that is to register and vote.
