Join the League of Women Voters Moscow for a Speaker Series Presentation, Comparative Politics 101: Understanding Transitions between Democratic and Autocratic Regimes, presented by Amy G. Mazur on Wed., Dec. 3 at 12 p.m. in the 1912 Center Lecompte Auditorium. This presentation focuses on the operational concepts and processes that students of regime change use to understand transitions between democratic and autocratic forms of government. 

Amy G. Mazur is Professor Emeritus at Washington State University and Affiliated Researcher at LIEPP/Sciences Po Paris. Her most recent books include: Gender Equality and Policy Implementation in the Corporate World: Making Democracy Work in Business edited with Isabelle Engeli (Oxford University Press. 2022) and Implementation When Policy Fails: The Uphill Battle for Equal Pay also edited by Engeli and with OUP, forthcoming. She has been co-convening the Gender Equality Policy in Practice Network since 2013 (https://geppn.com/) and the Going Global with State Feminism project since 2025 and lead editor at the journal, French Politics, since 2019.
