We'll be focusing on two books on Frances Perkins, Secretary of Labor from 1933 to 1945 under Franklin Delano Roosevelt. They are The Woman Behind the New Deal, a biography by Kristen Downey & Becoming Madam Secretary, an historical fictionalized account of Frances Perkins’ life.
