Invites have been sent to candidates in the following races inviting them to the League's upcoming Candidates Round Table on Sunday, October 4.  The public is invited to this free event and to take the opportunity to ask questions directly of each candidate that accepts our invitation!  Invitations were emailed to candidates in the following races:

 

• U.S. Congressional Rep. Districts 5 and 9 | Ohio House Districts 44 and 75
• Court of Appeals Judge District 6 (for 02/09/27 race and the 02/10/27 race)
• Wood County Common Pleas Judge | Wood County Probate Court Judge
• Wood County Commissioner | Wood County Recorder

You may be asking, "What is a Candidates Round Table?"  It is a format that the LWV Bowling Green debuted in 2023. As the public arrives at the event, they will be given a list of candidates and seated at small tables (6-10 at each table). When the candidate arrives, they will be assigned to a table for their first session with voters / attendees. After about 10 minutes, the moderator will announce it's time for the candidate to move to the next table of voters.  By the end of the event, candidates will have had an opportunity to meet with all the attendees and all attendees will have met all the candidates.  This format allows all candidates to participate, even if they are uncontested or their opponent does not participate.  

We hope to see many voters and candidates at the event.  If you see a candidate, ask them if they plan to attend the LWV 2026 Candidates Round Table!
