Meeting Summary:

In a relatively quick meeting, the Kent City Council agreed to send certain unpaid water bills to the county to place a lien on the property involved. Some are apartment complexes.
Newly installed Police Chief Stone asked that a School Resource Officer be assigned to city schools as needed.

The longest time was spent with the city's newly hired downtown business consultant. He has met with various interested parties in the downtown area to learn their expectations for the city's future and offered suggestions for who he might meet with upon his return. Council expects to host a public comment session for Kent's businesses as part of this long-range planning.
