The League Stands with Immigrant Communities

The League of Women Voters of Wisconsin stands firmly in solidarity with Wisconsin's immigrant communities. Attacks on one of us is an attack on all of us. Wisconsin is stronger when our communities and families are brought together rather than divided. We must Unite & Rise to defend our democracy and stand up for the rights of ALL Wisconsinites.

“The President villainizing protestors is nothing but a performance to direct violence against the American people. By deploying the National Guard, against the wishes of state officials, the administration intends to cause fear and distract from their inhumane immigration raids." This statement was released by the League of Women Voters of the US, CEO Celina Stewart and the League of Women Voters of California Executive Director, Helen Hutchison.
