"We Shall Not Rest: A Century of Women's Suffrage and Beyond." Our speakers will examine the history and future of women’s suffrage in Delaware and the US, and Barb Hedges-Goettl will share her incredible experience attending this year's 70th UN Commission on the Status of Women as a League representative. This is a free event, with buffet lunch provided.

Public Statement

The League of Women Voters issued the following statement in response to President Trump's executive order, "Ensuring Citizenship Verification and Integrity in Federal Elections":

Hingham 3rd Graders will be taking part in their own Town Meeting on May 20th, June 5th, and June 8th at Old Ship in Hingham. The LWV Hingham supports this program with volunteers and a funding grant.

The students prepare for their Town Meeting by learning about the history, the meeting process, and writing 'warrant articles' to vote for or against. Here is the instructional video shown to all 3rd Graders.
