The House and Senate introduced the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which would require citizenship documentation to register to vote even though voters in every state are already required to affirm or verify their citizenship status when registering.

The SAVE Act would create one more barrier to the voting process, as many eligible voters do not have easy access to the necessary documents.

Survey results
After the November 2024 Election, we created a survey to help us understand what resources voters found most helpful when making their voting choices. We put the word out on our social media channels, newsletters, website and on Yubanet, The Union, KNCO and KVMR. We received an impressive 68 responses, which will be a great help as we plan our election work in the future. Thank you to the community for your participation! Below are summaries of the results.

It includes a requirement that in order to vote, all voters produce a valid, government issued, photo ID, such as Real ID card, a passport, or a military ID. All would require a photo AND a statement of birthplace, proving citizenship.
