LWV Initiative to Mobilize Voters in Constitutional Crisis

On April 18, 2025, both the president and the CEO of the national organization of League of Women Voters released this statement:  

“It has now been 87 days since the start of the Trump administration. From the flagrant disregard for congressional authority and governmental checks and balances to the latest action of openly defying the Supreme Court orders to bring Kilmar Abrego Garcia back home, one thing is abundantly clear: our country is in a constitutional crisis.

LWV of Alachua County was proud to sponsor the eighth annual Alachua County Civics Challenge hosted by Alachua County Public Schools. After seven rounds of competition, Lincoln Middle School was declared the winner. Thanks to all of the sponsors and volunteers who made this event so successful.
