Detective DeSerio reported on 281 calls for service within the township in January. These included but were not limited to, shoplifting, traffic stops, domestic situations, assistance to other agencies, warrant service, and suspicious persons. Also, he stated that the department is in possession of a portable radar sign that can be used throughout the county; it includes a traffic count box that can record the speed and number of cars on a given road.

Jill Grimm, representing the Twin Lakes Association, commented that some Twin Lakes residents have expressed concerns about areas that are not well-lighted. Mr. Swan suggested that it is essential to identify areas of concern within the township and use NOPEC funding to remedy those most needing attention.

ROAD REPORT

There was a discussion of the significant increase in the estimate of what Hudson Road remediation Phases IV and V will cost. If trustees move forward with the project, it could cost the township up to $900,000 dollars to complete. A decision on whether to move forward will be forthcoming.

Mr. Russell asked Mr. Akerley to prepare a vehicle condition report on all township vehicles so a decision can be made about what should be replaced in the coming year.

A meeting with the Germaine Reserve developer and county engineer’s office representatives will take place to review the punch list of repairs to roads within the project that must be made before the jurisdiction for the streets is turned over to the township.
