PUBLIC COMMENT
Detective DeSerio reported on 370 calls for service for the month of March including, but not limited to, welfare checks, assaults, assists to the rescue squad, fire department and other agencies, criminal trespass and damage, DUI, premise checks, larceny/theft and other 911 calls. He also addressed speeding and other traffic concerns shared by residents at recent meetings. He has spoken with the sheriff’s office about increased patrols in targeted areas such as Brady Lake, Hudson Rd., Powdermill Rd, and Ferguson Rd. They will continue use of the mobile speed warning sign. Mr. Russell also spoke to him about noise complaints. Detective DeSerio indicated that the most effective approach is for residents to have a discussion with the party causing the disturbance. Mr. Ciccozzi noted that there are current changes to the township zoning resolution that addresses noise complaints. The changes will be presented to the board at the April 28th meeting.
ZONING, ROAD AND FIRE REPORTS
Mr. Ciccozzi reported that the topic of data centers within the township will be addressed during the upcoming public hearing on the Zoning Resolution changes. A motion to place a moratorium on such centers until the Resolution is voted on was approved by both trustees present.
The road crew has been busy chipping, mowing and doing culvert and storm drain work and also on the ground work around the pickleball courts at Phillips Park. Mr. Akerley has not yet received a response from Davey Tree about sponsorship of the courts; Mr. Russell will call.
A resolution appointing Mr. Richard Smith to the position of township Fire Inspector for a period of one year was approved by both trustees present.
OLD BUSINESS
A proposal from ITT Consulting Services to review policies in place related to cybersecurity and to make recommendations of changes needed to be in compliance when new state guidelines are put into place on July 1 was approved by a vote of both trustees present. The cost of the program will be $1,312.00.
There was discussion of an update of the township website, and the importance of changes being in compliance with new ADA guidelines. The trustees and Mr. Akerley saw an example of what they’d like the site to look like at the annual Ohio Trustees Association conference; they will provide that information to Ms. August, and may accept a proposal from ITT Consulting Services for recreating the website.
NEW BUSINESS
A resolution amending the township zoning fee schedule was approved by both trustees present.
Discussion was held about whether or not an additional tornado warning system is needed in the Powdermill/Brady Lake area of the township. Mr. Smith will check into grant funding for such a project, and also check if residents can hear the KSU siren.
Mr. Akerley stated that the crew would be happy to drive a few township vehicles in the upcoming Memorial Day parade.

Payment of bills totaling $190.279.09 was approved by a vote of both trustees present.
