PUBLIC COMMENT
A West Shore Drive resident addressed the board, requesting to vacate a paper road adjacent to his property. Mr. Ciccozzi directed him to the county tax map department for assistance. The board concurred that more investigation is needed.
A representative of the Twin Lakes Association expressed gratitude on behalf of residents for the newly paved roads in the area.
A Brady Lake area resident expressed gratitude for the brush chipping and asked about the status of a house on Lakeview. Mr. Ciccozzi responded and asked about the status of signage at the Brady Lake Methodist Church; the resident made the request for signage advertising the yearly flea market to be allowed up for five weeks, and the request was granted.
ROAD AND ZONING REPORTS
Mr. Akerley described changes that need to be made to the paving on Carlton Drive due to the change in the depth needed. He is working out what the price change will be. There was also a discussion on the need for cameras at Brady Lake Park; Mr. Akerley will proceed with inquiries about cameras and cloud storage pricing for the video collected. Dugouts for the ball field at the park are being constructed now; also, a walking path for the park will begin construction soon, courtesy of the Portage Developmental Disabilities Board.
A resident of a property on Diagonal Road requested a permit for an accessory structure. After receiving the site plans, Mr. Ciccozzi determined that the structure was in the front, which is disallowed by the township zoning code. As the concrete pad has already been poured, a stop work order will be issued, and the resident will be directed to the BZA to ask for a variance.
