Meeting Summary:

PUBLIC COMMENT

Detective DeSerio provided statistics for calls for service in August. A total of 355 calls were answered for reasons such as alarms, rescue squad assists, criminal trespass, theft, missing persons, parking violations, traffic stops, and welfare checks, among others. There was additional discussion about grass clipping dumping and parking concerns on Germaine Reserve.
Parking within the reserve violating No Parking rules will result in ticketing.

A Brady Lake area resident expressed gratitude for the PCSO’s quick response to calls for assistance at the Brady Lake Methodist Church. He also informed Mr. Akerley about a load of gravel dumped at Cox and SR 59; Mr. Akerley will follow up.

Jill Grimm from the Twin Lakes Association offered to send electronic copies of the township newsletter to village residents, and to relay fire levy information to association members at their October meeting. She invited Mrs. Russell to attend the meeting to speak to residents about the levy.

ROAD, ZONING AND FIRE REPORTS

The resurfacing project at Sixth and Ohio Streets is nearing completion. The ground preparation for the Phillips Park pickleball court has begun, but paving will be postponed until spring.
The fall leaf pickup schedule should be available at the October 8th trustees meeting.

Mr. Ciccozzi noted that there was furniture set up on the proposed deck of the Burnt Pickle, although no permit has been issued for the project. Since there is pending litigation over the issue, the board suggested that the issue be allowed to play out.

Mr. Smith reported that he has received plans from Mariner Finance regarding interior remodeling at the former Oh My Yum site. He stated that the new owners are on board with having their own fire alarm. He also provided measurement information of the cul-de-sacs within Germaine Reserve.
