2023 GENERAL ELECTION | NOVEMBER 7, 2023

  • SEPT 22--Military & Overseas Voting Begins.

  • OCT 10--Deadline to Register to Vote. HOW TO REGISTER

  • OCT 11--Early In-Person Voting at Boards of Elections begins and includes the Saturday, Nov. 4, and Sunday, Nov. 5, before Election Day. NO MONDAY, NOV 6 HOURS!

  • Office hours for voting can be found here when posted by Portage County Board of Elections or listed below. MAP to Portage County BOE, 449 S. Meridian St., Ravenna, Ohio. Here are Portage County early voting dates and times and other important dates:

EARLY VOTING SCHEDULE PORTAGE COUNTY
Weekdays, Oct. 11 - Oct. 27: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. In-person early voting
Sunday, Oct. 30: 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 31: 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Weekdays, Nov. 1 - 3: 7:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. In-person early voting
Saturday, Nov. 4: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. In-person early voting
Sunday, Nov. 5: 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. In-person early voting; EARLY VOTING ENDS
Monday, Nov. 6: NO EARLY VOTING
Monday, Nov. 6: Mailed absentee ballots must be postmarked by this date
Tuesday, Nov. 7: Polls are open 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 P.M.

  • OCT 11--Absentee Voting By Mail starts. See below for link to download application.

  • OCT 31--Deadline for absentee ballot applications to be received by county Boards of Elections. 

  • NOV 6--Deadline to postmark your mail ballot AND it must be received by the Board of Elections by NOV 11. We suggest you drop in the dropbox at your Board of Elections office. Portage County Board of Elections is located at the county administration building, 449 S. Meridian St., Ravenna, OH. MAP

  • NOV 7--Election Day: Tuesday, August 8. Polls open 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Find your polling place here. 

  • NOV 7, 7:30 PM--Deadline for mailed ballots to be personally delivered to your County Board of Elections. Portage County Board of Elections: MAP

  • NOV 11--Deadline for boards to receive mail-in ballots that have been postmarked on or before NOV 6.
