Cookout and Kickball! Yesss! With Portage County NAACP and The League of Women Voters of Kent. Community is invited on  Saturday, Aug. 8, 11 am to 2 p.m. There will be a kickball game with teams from the League, NAACP, Kent Police Department and City of Kent Fire Department. FREE EVENT!

The League of Women Voters of the US has set this as a day to honor the anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Leagues across the country will be participating in civic engagement actions, including voter registration drives, town halls and phone banks. 

LWVK, in partnership with the Portage County NAACP, will be hosting a family-friendly Community Cook-out at Plum Creek Park in Kent featuring games, food, fun for all levels! Friends and family are welcome! No sign up...just show up.
