New member orientation before AMM at 6 p.m.

Our first meeting of 2022 is brought to you by the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee of LWV Kent on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022, at 7 p.m. via Zoom. The committee is busy putting together a program that will focus on how to be an ally and look closer at what that means when we are talking about religion, sexual orientation and economic discrimination.

BEING AN ALLY MEANS:

• supporting equal rights for everyone – regardless of race, sexual orientation, gender or religion
• doing what you can to call out discrimination and to fight for equality
• trying to make the world a better place
