LWV Northern Portage County will be marching in the Aurora 4th of July parade, but they need more marchers. The themes are “Still Marching for Democracy” and “Marching Toward 250 Years of Democracy.” The marchers will be dressing in suffragist style (all attire in white) and carrying placards, one side of which will be the themes and the other side with the founding documents of the United States: The Declaration of Independence, The Constitution, and The Bill of Rights.
The parade is set for Friday, July 4. Gather at the Barrington Town Square parking lot (the Heinen’s side on State route 306) at 10 a.m. The parade steps off at 11 a.m. The parade route is one mile, starting on State Route 306 (Chillicothe Road) and ending at the Aurora High School parking lot. Email LWVNPC President April Secura at asecura [at] hotmail.com if you can join the parade, or show up July 4th morning. If link doesn't work, please copy and paste.
