Volunteers still needed to help with Ohio suffragette history project

Start the New Year with a new opportunity to partner with a Kent State University student! Three KSU Women’s Center interns will be working through the spring semester to write a brief (500 word) biography of an Ohio woman who contributed to the women’s suffrage movement. KSU will provide research support and editorial guidance. The project is described fully here.

The Women’s Center has asked for League volunteers to work with each intern to contribute to the examination and celebration of this important and sometimes challenging piece of history while building relationships and collaborations. League collaborators are asked to attend a meeting in late January with the interns, faculty, and staff involved and then communicate periodically with one intern throughout the semester on the progress of the biography. If you are interested in participating, call Stacy ASAP at 330-697-5723.
