 Helen Dix Scholarship winner announced, LaTesha Dukes
We are pleased to announce that LaTesha Dukes is the recipient of the 2018-2019 Helen Dix Scholarship. She is assistant director of donor recognition programs at KSU's Division of Institutional Advancement and president of the King Kennedy Community Center advisory board in Ravenna. 
 
Dukes lives in Ravenna and is pursuing her bachelor's degree in health promotion and education at Kent State University. She expects to graduate in May 2019. Dukes is a busy woman who juggles a full-time career, school and a family of four children and still has time to give back to her community. Dukes is assistant director of donor recognition programs at KSU's Division of Institutional Advancement and president of the King Kennedy Community Center advisory board in Ravenna. 
 
The Helen Dix Scholarship was established in memory of Helen Dix, a founding member of the League of Women Voters of Kent. The scholarship is awarded annually to a nontraditional student at either Kent State University or Hiram College who is pursuing an undergraduate degree.
