Women's Equality Day Event
Plan to attend the Oberlin area's 25th anniversary celebration of Women's Equality Day on Saturday, August 24 at Noon. A luncheon in the Fox & Fell Dining Room at Kendal at Oberlin, will be followed by a program on Women of the Cloth, featuring presentations by local faith leaders June Dorsey (Christianity), Megan Doherty (Judaism) and Maysan Haydor (Muslim). Ruth Ann Clark will be the program moderator.

Women's Equality Day is celebrated in the United States in August to commemorate the 1920 adoption of the Nineteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which prohibits the states and the federal government from denying the right to vote to citizens of the United States on the basis of sex.
