Ranked-Choice Voting

Ranked-Choice Voting

On April 29, 2024, Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt signed HB 3156 which bans ranked choice voting in statewide and municipal elections.

What is Ranked Choice Voting? It is an electoral system which allows voters to rank candidates by voting for multiple candidates, in order of preference; meaning voters can submit ballots that list not only their first-choice candidate for a position who they want to win, but also their second choice, third choice and so on for each position.
