LWVOK Pillars Program

The Pillars program was started in 1986 as a way to build the capacity of the League of Women Voters. Donors pledge to contribute $1000 or more, and when that pledge is fulfilled, they are honored as a Pillar of the League. 

The Board of Trustees of the League of Women Voters of Oklahoma adopted the following policy regarding the Pillars of the League program in December, 2017: 

The League of Women Voters of Oklahoma (LWVOK) Pillars Program will honor donors who fulfill a pledge of $1,000 or more to the LWVOK within a time period set by the donor, not to exceed two years. Donors to the Pillars Program will designate the percentage (from 0 to 100 percent) of the contribution to be deposited in the LWVOK Endowment Fund at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation, and the percentage (from 0 to 100 percent) of the contribution to be deposited in the LWVOK general fund without restriction. Donors will be given specific instruction about submitting contributions designated for the Endowment Fund or designated for the LWVOK general fund. A donor who fulfills a Pillars Pledge will be recognized as a Pillar of the League.
