Governor Lee plans to call the TN Legislature back to Nashville for a Special Session in late August, to discuss public safety, guns and our constitutional rights. The Governor has said he wants to know what Tennesseans think and so we invite you to a community discussion about our gun violence epidemic. Some of the questions we will discuss are:

How bad is gun violence in TN compared to other states?

What do survivors of gun violence think about our gun violence epidemic and what do they want our lawmakers to do to save lives?

What is an Extreme Risk Protection Order (Red Flag) law?

What happens to parents whose children get hold of their guns?

This gathering is hosted by the League of Women Voters of Northeast Tennessee. Linda McFadyen-Ketchum of Nashville will bring her many years of experience in this area to lead the discussion. Everyone is welcome. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, email lwv.netn [at] gmail.com
