Former Virginia Senator Sonny Stallings will share his perspectives on the pending legislation from the Special Session, now under review by the Virginia State Crime Commission. The VSCC is currently taking public comments and will hold hearings on the 19th and 20th.

During his time in office, Stallings was able to secure passage of a bill requiring criminal background checks on handguns with barrels less than five inches long and so-called paramilitary weapons that fire more than 20 rounds in succession. "That was my biggest accomplishment because it had the most opposition," Stallings said.
