The state League of Women Voters has Issue Groups that track General Assembly legislation and propose legislative priorities for LWV-VA. See https://lwv-va.org/issue-groups/ You can join an IG and get to know League members across Virginia who share your interest. Issue Groups meet:
- Affordable Housing: third Wednesday of the month at 12 p.m.
- Behavioral Health: third Tuesday of the month at 5 p.m.
- Child Care: fourth Sunday of the month at 8:30 p.m.
- Domestic Violence: second Thursday of the month at 7 p.m.
- Education: third Tuesday of the month at 3 p.m.
- Environment: first Thursday of the month at 6 p.m.
- Gun Violence Prevention: second Monday of the month at 7:30 p.m.
- Justice Reform: third Friday of the month at 11 a.m.
- Redistricting: fourth Monday of the month at 7 p.m.
- Transportation: meets quarterly on third Wednesday of the month at 5 p.m.
- Voting & Elections (includes Elections Security, Money in Politics, and Voter Access): second Friday of the month at 3 p.m.
