Wisconsin became the first state to ratify the 19th Amendment on June 10, 1919. Plan now to celebrate the 100th anniversary with us on June 19, 2019. Jessie Jack Hooper, early Oshkosh suffragist, will reminisce about her prominent role in the national and state suffrage movement and provide inside information about how Wisconsin achieved this distinction. Portrayed by Dr. Helen Bannan, retired Director of Women’s Studies and Associate Professor of History at UW Oshkosh.
