RALLY! Fair Courts End Gerrymandering on Jan. 21, 2022

The Wisconsin Supreme Court is evaluating lawsuits and briefs related to the once-every-ten-years redrawing of state voting maps. LWVWI is a plaintiff in one of the lawsuits before the court. Citizens at 15+ locations around Wisconsin are rallying to promote awareness of the court’s actions on Friday, January 21. A local rally will be held in front of the Brown County Courthouse in Green Bay starting at 2:30 pm.

Kristin Lyerly, Green Bay event coordinator explained, “The efforts for Fair Maps extend now to ‘Fair Courts.’ We want the state Supreme Court to know we’re watching their actions! You can expect people in costumes with signs and noisemakers, and some brief speeches before we head to the Packers Playoff Pep Rally at Packers Heritage Trail Plaza by 3:30 pm."
