For two years the Environment Committee has wanted to go to the Tri-County Recycling Facility in Appleton. This Facility serves Brown, Outagamie, and Winnebago Counties. We are always talking about recycling facilities, and we realized that we have a huge one within driving distance. So on Monday, June 3rd, we are finally going, and we are inviting other League members to come along if they want to go.
We will meet at 10:00 a.m. at the back doors of the old Younkers building—next to Kohls. We will park our cars and carpool and caravan to the Facility. It should be a very short trip. Once we are there, we will tour the Facility. It should take about one hour or more, depending upon questions and interest. I have been warned that there are stairs, and that it is noisy. Those who cannot climb stairs can take a lift.
After the tour, we will travel into Appleton for lunch. There are a number of restaurants a few miles away.
