Book Club

The LWV/ASC Book Club meets monthly to discuss books covering a range of current topics such as the environment, civil rights, women’s contributions and service, immigration and education. Members select fiction or non-fiction based on recommendations from the group or chosen from their own reading.  

The group meets from 1:15 - 3 pm on the fourth Wednesday during the months of August through October and January through May at the homes of members or via Zoom.  Membership is open to anyone who belongs to the League.  The schedule for spring 2023 follows.

February:          Josephine Baker: American Beauty, French Hero, British Spy by Damien Lewis 

March:              The Twilight of Democracy by Anne Applebaum 

April:                Schoolhouse Burning by Derek Black.
