Starting this month, the League of Women Voters of California is hosting a three-part webinar series. The sessions will be on voter participation, housing, and immigration. Each webinar will feature experts and a guided discussion to dig into these issues and the policies shaping them. This information will help equip us to take action in our communities and across the state.

What is a “participation gap?” What barriers are preventing eligible voters from voting? What can we do to achieve a more representative democracy? These questions and more will be answered at our first webinar: "California's Voter Participation Gap: Strategies to Promote Engagement & Representation."

Join us on March 26 from 6:30-8 PM for a data-informed conversation with experts:

  • Mindy Romero – Director, Center for Inclusive Democracy, Price School of Public Policy, USC
  • Pablo Rodriguez – Founding Executive Director, Communities for a New California
  • Jala Abner – Voting Rights Program Associate, Common Cause California
  •  Sky Allen – Executive Director, Inland Empire United

Moderated by: LWVC Deputy Director, Dora Rose

They’ll share what the voter participation gap looks like in California, how strategic voter engagement can improve voting access, legislation related to the issue, and what we can all do to make an impact.

The webinar is free to attend - donations are strongly encouraged to support the League’s critical advocacy efforts in Sacramento and throughout California.
