From the Congressional District 1 race to numerous school boards, there are a large number of races on the November ballot for Butte County. Virtual forums are going to be the norm, most likely via Zoom, so some of the roles such as Greeters for Candidate Forums we will not need this fall, yet we have new roles to address such as question gathering from the public prior to the forum. Perhaps you have technical expertise to offer support for our Zoom webinars. We also are hoping to join forces with Western Nevada County LWV and the Redding Area LWV on some forums so we will share updates on our North State collaboration. 

 

With more competitive races on the ballot than forums we can deliver, Claire Greene, LWVBC's 1st VP and our Candidate Forum organizer welcomes your help. Since ballots will start being mailed October 5 and Ballot Drop Boxes will open, we hope to conduct all our forums before Butte County residents start submitting their ballots. I hope you will consider participating in our forum planning to offer your insights.
