Final review of Program Planning
In League, "Program” consists of the body of issues we choose for study, education and action at local, state and national levels. Program can include both education and advocacy work. The Program planning process occurs every two years in advance of our state Convention. It is part of what makes the League a grassroots organization; each League member has the opportunity to influence the selection of issues on which the local, state, and national League will focus time, talent and money. It takes the enthusiasm and interest of our members to keep our program vital. You would never skip voting in an election; you shouldn’t skip the League’s equivalent. Program planning is your voice!
Please join us on Wednesday, February 24 at 6:30 via Zoom where we will review current local, state, and national positions and discuss areas on which you’d like to focus our local energy for the next year and decide what areas of emphasis for LWVC in 2021-2023 we want to recommend.
- What are the issues of greatest concern here in our cities and throughout Butte County?
- What are the areas for legislative activity or other advocacy locally?
- How will you want to contribute?
During our Zoom meeting, we will include breakout rooms on individual topics of interest, each room facilitated by LWVBC Board members. Because of the breakout room discussions, this meeting will not be recorded.
