Job Description: Director, Assistant Voter Services
As Director, Assistant Voter Services, you will assist the 1st VP for Voter Services, particularly to develop and maintain up to date information about elections and candidates.
Chief Duties of Director, Assistant VS:
- Help organize, schedule, and conduct candidate forums and roundtables.
- Help organize ballot measure presentations.
- Help recruit and train members to staff forums and roundtables and prepare ballot measure presentations.
- Contact Butte County Registrar of Voters for information on local candidates and ballot measures.
- Research local positions (responsibilities, compensation) for use in forum presentations.
- Develop and retain database of forum questions.
- Collaborate with Voters Edge Coordinator as needed.
With other board members:
- Attend board meetings as scheduled whenever possible, typically once a month for 90 minutes on Zoom.
- Plan and oversee League events and activities.
- Protect the League’s nonpartisan reputation and educate members on the importance of this policy.
- Encourage members to become more active in the League and take on leadership roles.
- Help recruit new members.
- Oversee financial condition of League; approve annual budget.
- Educate yourself about League positions and organization on national, state, and local levels.
- Work to promote the League’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policy.
