We hold orientations for members and guests regularly, to give an overview of the League's history, mission, procedures, current priorities, and how you can get involved.

Join us to learn what is behind the California ballot initiative popularly characterized as “voter id” and why the League of Women Voters of California strongly recommends a “No” vote on this proposition on the November 3, 2026 ballot. Our speaker is Carol Moon Goldberg, immediate past president, and current vice president, of the League of Women Voters of California (LWVC) and its related Education Fund. Her current position on the Board involves the advocacy and legislative work of the League.

Tuesday, September 29th, at 6:30 (doors open at 6:00), at the Oldemeyer Center in Seaside, a Candidates Forum for the Seaside Mayor and City Council will be held.  This event is co-sponsored by Sustainable Seaside.

Wednesday, October 7th, from 6:00-8:30 pm  at the Hartnell College Steinbeck Hall, Student Center, Bldg. C, a Candidates Forum for the Salinas Mayor and City Council will be held.  

The Monterey County LWV will sponsor a presentation, The Pros and Cons of the 14 Statewide Ballots, on October 7, from 7pm to 9pm.

The Monterey County LWV and Canterbury Woods will sponsor a presentation, The Pros and Cons of the 14 Statewide Ballots, on October 8, from 10:30 to 12:30, in Pacific Grove.
