In preparation for the June 2022 Primary Elections, the League of Women Voters of Western Nevada County is organizing its popular candidate forums.
Candidates running for the following races will participate in forums at the Rood Center, 950 Maidu Ave., Nevada City, on the following dates:
Nevada County Supervisor, District 3 and 4, April 19, 6 - 7:30p.m.
Dist. 3 Valentina Masterz, Patti Ingram Spencer, Lisa Swarthout
Dist. 4 Calvin Clark, Susan Hoek
Nevada County Auditor-Controller, April 21, 5 - 5:45 p.m.
Rob Tribble, Gina Will
Nevada City City Council (2 seats), April 21, 6 - 7:30 p.m.
Lou Ceci, Adam Kline, Ken Merdinger, Erin Minett
Canceled due to low response by candidates. Despite multiple attempts to contact the candidates, Scott Jones was the only campaign that we heard from. US Congressional District 3 is tentatively scheduled for April 28, 6 - 7:30 p.m. Awaiting response from all candidates: Kermit Jones, Scott Jones, Kevin Kiley, David Peterson.
Nevada County Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters, May 3, 6 - 7:30 p.m., Natalie Adona, Paul Gilbert, Jason Tedder,
State Assembly District 1, May 4, 6 - 7:30 p.m. Belle Sandwith, Kelly Tanner, Joshua Brown. incumbent Megan Dahle has declined.
Nevada County Assessor, May 5, 6 - 6:45 p.m.

The forums will be in-person at the Rood Center, streamed live on Comcast and Suddenlink channel 18, on the Nevada County Media website and YouTube channel.
The forums can be viewed on demand within 24 hours after the events on NCM’s Local Politics YouTube channel and on the LWVWMC YouTube channel.
Questions for candidates will be solicited in advance and at the forums, and can be sent to info [at] lwvwnc.org.Questions should be specific and applicable to all candidates in a forum.
