LWV Initiative to Mobilize Voters in Constitutional Crisis

On April 18, 2025, both the president and the CEO of the national organization of League of Women Voters released this statement:

“It has now been 87 days since the start of the Trump administration. From the flagrant disregard for congressional authority and governmental checks and balances to the latest action of openly defying the Supreme Court orders to bring Kilmar Abrego Garcia back home, one thing is abundantly clear: our country is in a constitutional crisis.

Survey

Beginning next week, the League of Women Voters will officially transition to a new membership system for all Leagues across the country. We are excited about this transition as it will streamline our League’s administration of membership, and will increase our share of membership dues. On a League level, this is expected to increase membership around the country and increase our ability to empower voters and defend democracy.

Survey results
After the November 2024 Election, we created a survey to help us understand what resources voters found most helpful when making their voting choices. We put the word out on our social media channels, newsletters, website and on Yubanet, The Union, KNCO and KVMR. We received an impressive 68 responses, which will be a great help as we plan our election work in the future. Thank you to the community for your participation! Below are summaries of the results.
