We are thrilled that our annual members meeting will be held in person this year for the first time since Covid. Come join us on May 9, 5:30 p.m., at Nevada County Media for the business portion of the meeting when we will elect board members, approve a new budget, and review the year, and stay to hear our special guest speaker LaDoris Cordell.

Judge Cordell is the first African American woman to sit on the Superior Court of Northern California. Open to the public, Cordell's presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m. The first 50 guests will receive an autographed copy of her book, "Her Honor: My LIfe on the Bench ... What Works, What's Broken and How to Change It."

Retired from the court in 2001, Judge Cordell has a long and prestigious public service history, is a former vice provost of Stanford Law School, a legal commentator with NPR, CNN, and MSNBC, and a police reform advocate. She has a lot to say about the legal system in our country.

Come join us for important League decisions and a fascinating visit with Judge Cordell.
