Spotlight Randi
I was born in Auburn to parents who were born in Auburn, a grandfather born in Colfax, a
great-grandmother born in Iowa HIll, and a great grandfather who was the first mayor of Colfax.

I attended Auburn public schools, Sierra College in Rocklin, and graduated from Chico State in 1977 with a Computer Science degree. I was hired by Hewlett Packard and moved to Silicon Valley in the South Bay Area where I worked for 3 years. I was included in the first group of R&D engineers who transferred to HP's Roseville campus in 1980 and continued working for HP as a software design engineer, an R&D manager, and Business Unit manager.

Upon retiring, I joined the LWV as a founding member of the Placer County league and served as president of that league for 6 years. I chaired the Weimar/Applegate/Colfax Municipal Advisory Council, and was a member of the Placer County Mental Health Board, Auburn Technology Committee, Auburn Homelessness Task Force and several other local organizations. After traveling around the US and Europe for the last 5 years, I recently decided to settle in Grass Valley. In addition to participating as a member of LWV Nevada County, I volunteer at KVMR, Nevada County Media
and am in training as a volunteer at Empire Mine State Park.
