Some notes from the Board Meeting of August 12:

• Information from the Board Retreat in July is not complete. Recommendations and a report will be available at a later date. The big push now is voting!
• Committees are reminded that only authorized people may speak on behalf of the League. Committees may not meet with public officials for the purpose of lobbying without speaking first with LWV-PA President Martha Zavala or Advocacy Chair Anita Mackey.
• The Board voted to set aside $3,000 as a pool of money to be used by committees that must offer honoraria in order to obtain League Day speakers. The amount for each event is not to exceed $500.
• The yearbook is being updated and will be posted on the website.
•  Our interns are working with the Communications Committee responding to the Census outreach and social media.
•  Committees may use personal Zoom accounts for regular committee meetings, but for League Events the League account must be used.
• President Martha Zavala was a panelist and a speaker at events honoring the Nineteenth Amendment!
