In the course of examining local issues, the League will do a careful study and sometimes hold public symposiums to gather community input on important topics. Other times the League participates in public activity on specific issues.

The League has been active in efforts to secure and preserve affordable housing in the San Gabriel Valley area in support of the LWVC position; it has undertaken a number of activitie

Our League formed an Education Advocacy Committee in January 2006 to use our education program positions to be part of the solution to the high school dropout problem in our ten communities.

    The League of Women Voters has been at the forefront of the environmental protection movement for decades, consistently supporting legislation to preserve our nation’s natural resources and protect our public health. 

    The League has established extensive positions on healthcare at the national level.

    Election Systems Study: LWV California commenced a study of voting systems for electing legislative bodies and executive officers at both the state and local levels.

    The LWV California campaign helped produce this video in 2015 to restore revenue to schools, public services and infrastructure repair.

    The LWVPA participated in the LWVUS study on privatization.
